Earth Energy Consultants offers an oil and gas information scouting service through which companies can keep abreast of the oil and gas activity across the state. This service provides an excellent means of monitoring the permitting, drilling and plugging activity, as well as receiving all released well logs and completion reports. Every month, we go to both NYS DEC regional offices and obtain the following oil and gas information:
- All well logs released from confidential status including gamma-density, resistivity, sonic, etc., copied across all pay and critical horizons, and the header.
- All completion reports released from confidential status. Copies of all drilling permit application submitted, including topo sections or survey plats.
- All DEC backup including spud lists, plugging applications and starts, and the sign-in sheet.
- Copies of the NYSDEC Environmental Notice Bulletin of oil and gas activity section for that month.
Being involved in the exploration and development side of oil and gas, we understand the need for information fast. Our service provides the absolute quickest method of obtaining up-to-date, hard-copy oil and gas information for New York State, as we sometimes acquire the data on the same day it becomes available. This information is compiled into summary sheets, making it very easy to monitor drilling and permit activity. We also prepare a cover sheet discussing oil and gas activity that would be of interest to an operator, such as discoveries, highlights of logs, industry concerns, IOGA or DEC issues, etc.
This data is sent by priority mail at the beginning of each month to operators and other companies who have an interest in New York’s oil and gas activity. Current subscribers range from small independents, to several of the largest E & P companies operating in the United States and Canada.
The cost for this service is extremely reasonable and subscribers are on an annual subscription basis that renews in May of each year. If your company is interested in subscribing, we could begin at any time and prorate the subscription for the remaining time. In addition, we are always available to copy logs, completion reports, well records and wellspot topographic maps that you might need from time to time. As a subscriber, if you should need a moderate amount of information, we would get it during our regularly scheduled trip, saving you the time and expense typically associated with hiring a consultant to obtain such data. Also, our office, through a relationship with the Independent Oil and Gas Association of New York houses the complete set of original, blue-line geophysical well logs from the main NYSDEC office in Albany, allowing us to fulfill data requests promptly.
If you would like more information about this service or would like to receive a complimentary package from the most recent month, just send us an e-mail and we’ll get it to you right away. |
